We received a request on our front-page survey to ask about barefoot running shoes. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say about them, but at the same time, I'm enjoying my Altra Zero Drop running shoes...they're awesome! It took some time to adjust to the different style of running (more natural style, so if you're young you should start now using these shoes and not those with a thick heel), but I'm loving them now! Let me know what your thoughts are on other "bare foot" running

Here's an interesting video on our "bottoms"...
Kelsey Braithwaite finished first today with a time of 17:36.4 (second place was 18:02)...very impressive Kelsey! The girls team (Box Elder) finished 10th. I'm not sure how that relates to years in the past, but I don't remember the girls finishing that high in a long time.
Adam Hendrickson finished 4th with a time of 16:05. I have a feeling he, Adam, wanted to finish higher, and knowing that he beat two of the top three finishers last week at Region, he probably has a story to tell?? I remember when I was a Junior, I finished 4th at state with a very similar time. I was able to win the following year by two-tenths of a second...I have a feeling that Adam is going to do some great things on the track this year and that he'll have another fantastic cross-country season next year. Who knows, my high school records may go away this year?? :)
See the Deseret News for the results...
Check out this runner! 100 years old and running a marathon!
If you saw on the "ZHome" page, you would have seen the article (toward the bottom) of a good friend, James Parker. There was an excellent article in the Ogden Standard Examiner
I haven't heard how the cross country teams are doing at Box Elder. Has anyone heard or read any re
I've added a number of different videos to my "ZVideos" page. They come from "Coach Jay" with Nike, but I've also added a few other exercises to the site that I do when I'm doing my strength workouts. Let me know what you think.
I had this published through WordPress and Host Gator and found Weebly just now and feel this is just an easier platform to update and work with. I'm excited to see how this goes. It should also cost about half the cost I was paying Host Gator. I have no issues with anything they did or about Wordpress...just looking for something easier to use. :)
